Affiliate Promoting Reviews
by Micheal Angelo
This article is a starting point for anyone who wants to get into Affiliate Marketing. I believe that Affiliate Marketing as a very powerful cash spinner, and is a rapid and easy way to generate money, once you know how. Like any business, the first thing you need to do is understand the ins and outs of the business before investing any money. Trust me when i say this cause I have had my fingers burnt on a number of occasions. There are a lot of rip-off schemes out there, and you need to be very careful when parting with your money. I will discuss this matter further, later on in this article.
1. Choosing your NICHE
Let me describe the word NICHE before we go any further. A niche market is the subset of the market on which a specific product/service is focusing; consequently the market niche identifies the specific product features aimed at satisfying particular market needs, as well as the price range, production quality and the demographics that is planned to impact.
An often used technique for Affiliate Marketers is Internet-based niche marketing. By appealing to smaller segments of larger markets, referred to as niches, a website can be developed and promoted quickly to uniquely serve a valuable and usually loyal customer base, giving the Affiliate Offer a small but regular income stream. This method is then repeated across several niche websites until a desired income level is achieved. A bigger niche is harder to market to as the expense of online advertisements increases according to the popularity of the keywords used (on Adwords, for example).
I would like to recommend selecting a niche that has something to do with your personal interests of everyday life. This is because, when you become an affiliate marketer, you will need to know what you are talking about. For example; if you was ill, you would go to the hospital for treatment. You would not approach someone who does not know anything about medicine. This is the same for affiliate marketing. If you are selling something that you know a little bit about, and are keen to learn more about, then this gives you the ability to be able to sell more easily. This advise will give you the edge over competitors and help you expand your business more efficiently.
2. Branding
A brand is a name, sign, symbol, slogan or anything that is used to identify and distinguish a specific product, service, or business. owning a good brand also helps in the marketing of sales of products. Branding is the image of the product in the market. Some people distinguish the psychological aspect of a brand from the experiential aspect. The experiential aspect consists of the sum of all points of contact with the brand and is known as the brand experience The psychological aspect, sometimes referred to as the brand image , is a symbolic construct created within the minds of people and consists of all the information and expectations associated with a product or service. People tend to buy things that they have heard about, or seen someone else with.
Because of this, when choosing your Affiliate Offer, it is absolutely crucial to promote respected companies, who have been around for a few years. Check their records, find out a bit about them first. Do your research. Once you have sourced a good Affiliate Offer, meaning a reputable company who's products you are going to sell, promoting will come second nature.
3. Whats Hot?
Market demand is defined as the total amount of purchases of a product or family of products within a specified demographic. The demographic may be based on factors such as age or gender, or involve the total amount of sales that are generated in a particular geographic location. analyzing market demand is one of the most important ways that corporations decide what to sell and how to go about selling the products they produce.
A solid market demand strategy can help businesses identify upcoming trends before the competition. For instance, during the 70's, a few office equipment manufacturers utilized findings from market surveys to project that typewriters would lose appeal as desktop computers became more user friendly. As a result, those companies were able to create strategies that allowed them to gradually scale back the manufacturing of typewriters while slowly implementing the production of the compact computers. Because they properly assessed market demand, those Organizations were able to remain profitable during the 1980's and beyond as the desktop computer became an absolute must have in both the home and the office.
Make sure that the products you choose to promote are in demand. This is very important as its much easier to promote products that people already want than trying to create awareness and demand for new products.
4. Earnings Potential
There are many particular factors which help determine how much money you can earn from a single product. One of the first places to look for this information is where the Affiliate Offer is posted. You will usually find a box next to the Affiliate Offer which provides a link for information regarding the amount of commission that can be earned through promoting that offer. You should also pay attention to other factors.
Look at how many other affiliates are promoting this product. If you find that there are only a few people promoting this Affiliate Offer, then there is a possibility that it is not a good seller. Or maybe the product is very new and has not been discovered by many affiliates. I would recommend leaving such products for more experienced affiliates to tackle. You can always come back once you have gained experience.
That being said, I would suggest marketing Affiliate Offers that have an earnings potential of at least $30. This is because the amount of work that is needed to promote any product is exactly the same, so why would you want to earn less for the same amount of work.
5. Solve the Problem
This is a subject that a lot of affiliates skip. In order to find a specific NICHE, you need to be able to identify a problem. Once you know the problem, you need to start looking for solutions. What you should do is look for products that help solve a problem. People are emotionally driven, and will do anything when in this emotional state to solve their problem, no matter what the cost. Here are some examples:
* health and fitness products work well because people desperately want to lose weight of get fit
* or they might have an illness which they are desperate to cure and will pay anything for that
* people are always desperately looking for answers, and can sometimes pay anything for this because it maght be valuable info to them
These are just a few examples, but I hope you get the idea. Look for a problem, then find a solution to that problem. Once you have these two things, then you have a product to sell through an Affiliate Offer and a market to sell it to. Simple.
I will be adding more content to this blog in the next couple of days so keep a look out.
